and the moon, she hid her face from this black town,

but I needed another drink
so I stuck my head inside a stinkin’ bar

I went right to the barman
and asked for something good
"Whatever, man, something to warm my bones,
I have no-bucks to pay you
but I could play guitar
and maybe put a smile upon your guests

Well, I could play that everybody knows,
that one for the money and the next one for the show
or I could play this song I wrote long time ago
about some pretty girl I used to know"

But the barman said "Fuck off,
you came with no-guitar
and the sadness of my clients
is just what makes me laugh
You see nobody's talking,
their eyes stuck to their glass,
nobody’s even noticed that you arrived"

That's when a pretty lady
came closer to my stool
and said "I'll pay a drink for you, my man"
From behind a man gets up and yell "who the hell is he?"
He looks like a young Andy Garcia!

So I better get the fuck off and that's just what I done,
tonight as always I chose the wrong place to go,
I don't want to break my bones
so I said goodbye you all 'cause for tonite i've seen enough

So I swing back down the alley to get back to my house,
you see, even the moon hides her face from this black town,
